Mary Taylor is a woman on a mission totally re writing the traditional negociant role. Despite being based in the USA, Mary works closely with small organic growers mostly in France but also in Spain and Italy, shining a light particularly on less famed appellations and grape varieties. Whilst she implores the beautiful complexity of European wines that makes them so enjoyable she is also well aware that the European model can be confusing for Americans (in particular) with hard-to-pronounce names and unfamiliar regions.
To aid with this barrier, she created Mary Taylor Wine to help people reach those lesser known regions/grapes and her wines have accessible labels to match. She doesn’t think you should have to be a serious wine expert to experience the kind of honest, authentic wines that the Europeans have been enjoying for centuries. She’s bringing wine to the people!
